Coventry Road Practice has now been accredited as Royal College of GPs (RCGP) Research Ready.

This important accreditation facilitates the Practice in supporting and delivering high-quality primary care research for the benefit of patient and public health. Subsequently, you may be invited to participate in research studies at the practice's discretion.

Coventry Road Practice is proud to be a contributing practice to the RCGP Research and Surveillance Centre, established in 1957. Anonymous patient data from the practice is used to help monitor infections and diseases in the community across the country and is vital to protecting the health of the public. There are 260 practices supporting this important public health initiative in England. The data is securely kept and patient confidentiality is maintained. However, if you would like to opt out of having your anonymous data being used, then please inform us at the practice and we will make this so.

We are also proud to be a member practice of the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD). CPRD collects anonymised patient data from over 1000 GP practices in the United Kingdom. CPRD is sponsored by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR), as part of the Department of Health and Social Care. For more than 30 years, research using CPRD data and services has informed clinical guidance and best practice. The protection of patient confidentiality is paramount and CPRD use multiple steps to protect patient confidentiality. CPRD never collects patient identifiable information. If you wish to opt-out of your patient record contributing to CPRD - do let us know and we will act on this.
