Get help in an emergency

A doctor is contactable during the normal working weekday using the surgery telephone number:  0121 743 2154.

If you are suffering a life threatening or severe injury or illness go to your nearest Accident and emergency department or dial 999.

For example: Choking, Heavy Blood Loss, Chest pain, Serious injury, Blacking out, Fits.

If you need a doctor in an emergency and the surgery is closed telephone the usual surgery number (0121 743 2154), and the answer phone will tell you how to contact a doctor.

The NHS 111 service is available to deal with emergency and non emergency queries. They can be contacted by dialling 111.

The Urgent Primary Care service based at Solihull Hospital will provide an urgent ‘see and treat’ service for patients with minor illnesses. This service will be for patients without a prior booked appointment. Patients will need to report to the Urgent Primary Care reception located next to the existing Minor Injuries Unit.

Patients are advised to call 111 before attending any urgent care services as alternative services are available and more are coming on line in November. These include the options to direct patients directly to a pharmacist or to speak to a dental nurse for example.

Children who appear very unwell or need urgent treatment for a serious illness or injury should be taken to Heartlands Hospital A&E rather than Solihull Hospital.
